Psalms 145:18
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
PrayerPrayer (from the Latin precari "ask earnestly, beg, entreat")[1] is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication.
Prayer can be a form of religious practice, may be either individual or communal and take place in public or in private. It may involve the use of words, song or complete silence. When language is used, prayer may take the form of a hymn, incantation, formal creedal statement, or a spontaneous utterance in the praying person. There are different forms of prayer such as petitionary prayer, prayers of supplication, thanksgiving, and praise. Prayer may be directed towards a deity, spirit, deceased person, or lofty idea, for the purpose of worshipping, requesting guidance, requesting assistance, confessing transgressions (sins) or to express one's thoughts and emotions. Thus, people pray for many reasons such as personal benefit or for the sake of others. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, in everything give thinks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

In the common Bible of the Abrahamic religions, various forms of prayer appear; the most common forms being petition, thanksgiving, and worship. The longest book in the Bible is the Book of Psalms, 150 religious songs which are often regarded as prayers. Other well-known Biblical prayers include the Song of Moses (Exodus 15:1–18), the Song of Hannah (1 Samuel 2:1–10), and the Magnificat (Luke 1:46–55). The most recognized prayers in the Christian Bible are the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9–13; Luke 11:2–4) and Hail Mary (Luke 1:28; Luke 1:42).

Daily Prayer:
"May today be all that I need it to be. May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in my thoughts, rule in my dreams and conquer all my fears. May God manifest himself today in ways that I have never experienced.
May my joys be fulfilled, my dreams become closer and my prayers be answered. I pray that my faith enters a new height, that my territory is enlarged and that I make one step closer to my destiny. I pray for peace, health, happiness and true and undying love for God." in Jesus Name, Amen. Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. |
Prayer Matters:Prayer matters to us all in some way or another, weather its for others or self we all find ourselves doing it. Father prays for children, Mother prays for Husband. brother prays for sister and friends pray for friends. We even pray for pets, jobs, homes, cars...etc ! All of the above is good, but out of all the things and people we ought to pray for is SELF ! Not for selfish gain or vain gain for that matter, but because we too need to pray to God for ourselves. Who else besides God knows what we are really going through, what we're facing from day to day on the inside, shame of this or that, uncomfortable at times, afraid of situations, low self esteem... just not sure of self. Prayer Matters, so PRAY FOR YOURSELF just in case no one else did TODAY.
